I just watched a beautiful and powerful presentation that really touched me and I wanted to share it with you. I'm sure you'll enjoy the breathtaking images, the inspiring message and beautiful music. You can check it out here: http://www.findingjoymovie.com/ Enjoy your day! Bye bye 2007 & welcome 2008. I believed many of you are like me are uncertain about our future ahead. Do not be afraid of what is ahead because Jesus is always there for us. We can approach God knowing that He gladly welcomes us in year 2008 and the years ahead. He will never leave nor forsake us. I remembered He wants all of us to remember three basic things by heart. 1) He is our God 2) He Love Us 3) We are not alone In the beginning God chose to create us, so we are valuable in his eyes; God made us for a good reason. We can be assured that He is always listens, loves and is always there, no matter what circumstances we may faced. The Lord Himself is our source of hope because His character is unchanging, His love is steadfast, His promises will all come true, and His omnipotence determines our future, for this is a promise from God. Let us visualise our thoughts and wants for God's kingdom. It is also the time to renew our mind and strength to throw away our setbacks. Christ alone is our rock and our salvation; He is our fortress, we will not be shaken. Today I pray… God revives our soul. God revives us by His word. God renews our strength and promises to guide us on new pathways for our life. God renews our hope. God restores our joy and health. God renews our spirit. And Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us. Have you ever been waked up by a noise in the middle of the night? A beat of the sound of a drum has struck my ears last night and it was extremely loud – a beat sound like Kitaro’s ”Matsuri” in the beginning on the mp3. Can you imagine! Man...I was puzzled and I could not explain but to question God. What happen, where on earth the drum sound came from and what is that all about? I tried to do a research later on the meaning of drum and came across this article on the website about “Of the sound of the Drum”. It is very necessary that soldiers should be instructed to know the sounds and beatings of the drum before they are dismissed from the drill; as, whether it is the general, assembly, march, reveille, troop, retreat, tap-too, to arms, parley, or chamade & etc. As they are thereby taught to march and perform their exercise, manoeuvres, & etc. it is also very proper to teach them every other sound and signal. To beat the general, is an order for the whole to make ready to march; the assembly to repair to their colours; and the march commands them to move: the reveille, at day-break, warns the soldiers to rise, and the centries to cease challenging; the troop assembles them together, to call over the roll and inspect the men for duty: the retreat is beat at sunset, for calling over the roll again to warn the men for duty, and read the orders of the day: the tap-too beats at ten o'clock every night in summer, and at nine in winter; the soldiers must then repair to their quarters or barracks, when the Non-commissioned Officers of each squad call over their rolls, and every man must remain there till reveille beating next morning. A beat to arms, is to advertise them to stand to their arms, or to repair to their alarm-posts; and a parley, or chamade, is to desire a conference with the enemy. These have reminded me on Ephesians 6 “The Amor of God”. Verse 10-11, Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil. In our Christian life we battle against rulers and authorities (the powerful evil forces of fallen angels headed by Satan, who is a vicious fighter). To withstand their attacks, we must depend on God's strength and use every piece of His armor. The whole body needs to be armed. As we do battle against "the powers of this dark world", fight in the strength of the church, whose power comes from the Holy Spirit. My guitar module has come to an end this week. Before heading on for the next module, more practise need to be done in order to catch up. I was told that the upcoming module will have more complication in chords (new chords & March 4) and I'm still slow in chords changing. Hopefully more practise will help. My fingers still hurts though...Ouch! I'm glad I didn't give up easily and have enrolled the next module by faith. Trusting in Him daily and His grace is sufficient to keep me strong and motivated. Keep on ya! Seven songs application to focus this week: -
I Could Sing of Your Love Forever -
Better Is One Day -
Draw Me Close -
You Are Holy -
Here I Am to Worship -
Blessed Be Your Name -
I Give You My Heart A combination of Fingerstyle, March 2 & 3, Jovial and Rhythm Synergy. My favorite is fingerstyle cos it is the nicest, but I have to master March 3 before March 4 coming up. Good news, 6 watercolour and 6 pastel paintings (landscapes and seascapes) have been added by Uncle John in John A. Wang's Gallery. I hope you like these paintings as much as I have enjoyed viewing them.
I think his introduction picture was taken by us during our trip to Mount Fuji, Japan.

Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
So blessed! I can’t contain it but to share it with you. Yesterday, I had a wonderful Easter Sunday and an advance birthday celebration together with my family. An awesome day to be remembered and to celebrate Christ has risen! Daddy God has showered me with lots of love throughout the day. First was my favourite breakfast at Burger King at 11.15am, a free $50 Robinson Shopping Voucher from HP, a wonderful sermon by Pastor Prince (Live) during the 3rd service and a number seat - centre enough to watch the "Live" orchestra played during song offering. An awesome and beautiful song played by the musician and a wonderful gift from Daddy God. In the evening, I had a nice dinner with my family at the Hard Rock Café Restaurant. There, I was given a free "Surf & Turf" dinner (worth $38) and "Ice-cream" for dessert. A birthday song was sung by the crews and audience. What a nice place to celebrate my birthday! Not forgetting my favourite music group “Beatles" & “Sugar Ray" videos were also played on screen. What else’s can I ask for? I feel sooooooooo... blessed! All these come naturally without any planning except by Daddy God. Thank you and thanks to those who were there with me! Though the days ahead may be tough but if we can believe that God is in control and all things will be made well and trust in Him. He is faithful to deliver and lift us out from the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He will set our feet on solid ground and steadied us as we walked along. Seeking faith and speaking His words, we are able to overcome the mountains, for He has went ahead of us to fight the battles. He alone is our fortress and strength. Let's journey forward, knowing that God already inhabits the future and promises to provide us refreshment on our journey there. This beautiful song was sang during Song Offering in church: "When You Believe". May you be bless, strengthen and encourage in your journey ahead.
He always hear your cry. No sound escapes Him. Many, many in the world cry to Him, but oh! How few wait to hear Him speak to them; and yet to the soul, His speaking to it matters so much.
His words are Life. Think then, to hear Him speak is to find Life, and healing and strength. Trust Him in all things. Love showered on all brings truly a quick return.
Just carry out His wishes and leave Him to carry out yours. Treat Him as Savior and King, but also with the tender intimacy of One much beloved.
Keep to the rules He have laid down for you, persistently, perseveringly, lovingly, patiently, hopefully, and in faith, and every mountain of difficulty made smooth, and all who know you shall know that He, your Lord, is the Lord. Shower Love! Managed to catch a glimpse of Uncle John Wang's TV interviewed at Arts Central last night at 9.30pm.
Uncle John is a Singaporean pastel and watercolor painter, who we met during our Japan Tour last November 06. He is my "Suki" too, Hainanese. Thank his wife, Ann & him for their great hospitality's during our tour, so helpful and caring. This picture was taken with Red Autumn Maple Leaf as background. Glad both of them like it.
Despite Uncle John lack of formal training in art, he has enjoyed painting from the early 1960s, drawing inspiration from the works of old and modern masters. He has been painting regularly after his retirement from the Singapore Civil Service in 1999. His favorite subjects are seascapes and landscapes, reflecting his love for nature and the sea.
Uncle John's artworks are mostly in private collections. Some of his works have also been reproduced as postcards. Uncle John was elected as a Juried Associate of the Pastel Society of America in Nov 2002, and a Signature Member in March, 2005.
More of his artworks can be seen at: www.jawanggallery.com An impressive artworks!
It is our pleasure and honor to know him. Keep up the good works Uncle John! The year 2006 has gone, finished, past. We cannot reclaim it or undo it. We cannot rest on the great distance it has brought us. If tomorrow dawns, it will be another day, a new opportunity, and the time to show our faith in Jesus as Lord. Let's journey forward, knowing that God already inhabits the future and promises to provide us refreshment on our journey there.
Year 2007 is approaching; do not be afraid of what is ahead because Jesus is always there for you. You can approach God knowing that He gladly welcomes you and will never reject you. You can be assured that He is always listens, always hears, always loves and is always there. The Lord Himself is the source of hope because His character is unchanging, His love is steadfast, His promises will all come true, and His omnipotence determines your future. Today I pray… God revives your soul. God revives you by His word. God renews your strength and promises to guide you on new pathways for your life. God renews your hope. God restores your joy and health. God renews your spirit. Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me. Christmas is all in the heart, that’s where the feeling start, and light a fire inside, it touches every part. Christmas is all in the heart. MERRY CHRISTMAS In celebration of the greatest joy, the deepest peace, and the richest love the heart can ever know. Psalm 126:3 The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with Joy. It was raining heavily today all over Singapore. My sister and I were on our way home and hoped that the rain will stopped while we were thinking on how to avoid being caught in the rain with just one tiny umbrella plus I am having a cough and a sore throat since last week. So, we decided to take a bus home instead of walking home from the MRT station. The bus was quite crowded at such hours due to the rain outside. What amazed us were the rain stopped when we were about to alight the bus. We started praising God for His favour, protection and love for us. We also managed to cross the road safely and reached our destination without being caught in the rain. We were just a second away before the rain started to pour heavily again. Thanking God for His goodness, favour and love for us, for He really cares! Keep praising the Lord in all situations; for surely He will deliver us. Amen! The word "Voice of Truth" was in my head this morning, so I name my post today as "Voice of Truth". What I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat and then on to the crashing waves. To step out of my comfort zone into the realm of the unknown where Jesus is and He's holding out His hand.
But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me, reminding me of all the times I've tried before and failed. The waves they keep on telling me time and time again. "You never win!" "You never win!"
But the voice of Truth tells me a different story, the voice of Truth says 'Do not be afraid'. And the voice of Truth says 'This is for my Glory', out of all the voices calling out to me, I will choose to listen and believe the voice of Truth." Beautifully written and wonderfully said, "Jesus you are the Voice of Truth". When you know the truth, the truth will set you free!!! Click here to listen & watch Casting Crowns Live A year has gone and another is coming. Time flies without noticing. I have been resting for a year since my last resignation. What is my plan for the year ahead? I asked God last evening about my direction and His plan for me and where am I going next year? I also asked Him to show me first thing in the morning while waiting patiently for His direction. What amazed me was I woke up at 7.30am trying to clear my emails and discovered an email from Believer Music on a newsletter updates of the program for next semester in 2007. Then I came across this website http://www.crossroads-guitar.com where they offer guitar lessons and revolutionary ways to learn guitar music quickly. What have caught my attention were the topics on “Types of Guitars”, “Taking Cares of Your Guitars” and “Buying a Guitar”. Knowing my heart yearning for a new guitar, I was led to this website to know more about guitar. While reading, these sentences hit me “A good guitar is not cheap but will make learning those new guitar tabs much easier. If your guitar feels right, guitar tabs sound better and are learned quicker than trying to learn guitar tabs on a guitar that was bought because it was cheap.” To be honest, I have stopped learning for awhile and sold my old guitar. The desire of learning is there but my flesh is weak. I love music and the sound of guitar drives me crazy, but questions are all over my head. -
Does getting a better guitar matters in the progress of learning? -
Was it just a 3 minutes fever? -
Am I ready to pay for it? -
Does He want me to pick up guitar again? -
Is that part of my calling? -
What is my role? -
Do I have the talent? Of course, I believed it will definitely be useful and can contribute this skill in any ministry. Hoping and praying He will show me a clearer picture before I commit. However, Believer Music is an inter-denominational Christian organization supporting local pastors with the critical role of raising the standard of worship in both cell groups and private worship lives. I strongly recommend you to join them if you have the desire to learn keyboard, guitar or vocal and equip yourself for a deeper level of worship experience. For more information, visit http://www.believermusic.com Yeah! Home Sweet Home. Finally back to Singapore after 10 days of vacation in Japan. Though the weather was quite chilly but both of us had a wonderful and enjoyable holiday plus knew some new friends abroad. Thanking them for their great hospitality during our stay in Japan. Hari Raya is over and a friend of mine living in Japan is craving for Pineapples Tarts. Haha... I hope I can remember to buy before my departure to Japan. Someone else has also requested for Durian Cake and Nasi Lemak Chilly. Oh...my! Thank goodness is not the real Durian. Buying them may seem to be easy but getting them through the custom is my concern. Praying hard it can get through the custom safely after declaration. Oh God please help!!!
Spent 2 hours lunch at Mos Burger with my ex-colleague and chatted a lot in the restaurant. It has been a long while since we last met. I'm glad to know she has found a new job and ready for the new challenges in her career. I'm sure she is able to handle and cope with her new job ahead. She is a nice lady that I had knew for 5 years. 5, a number of Grace. May God mercy and grace be upon her always!

I'm glad to be informed that I'm the winner of the recent Freelobang Online Quiz after my return from Malaysia Shopping and received the $10 Isetan Voucher with thanks. Yeah! Another free shopping in Singapore. Thank you!
